Long Range Planning Committee Seeks Feedback

Please read this letter from Jean Schoenlank and Mary Micale regarding news from the Ridge School Long Range Planning Committee.  The committee would like your feedback regarding recommendations they're making to the Ridge HSA.

Congratulations, Mrs. Schulte!

Fourth grade teacher Dana Schulte has been selected as Ridge School's Teacher of the Year, nominated by colleagues, parents, and students.  Mrs. Schulte is most deserving of this honor and we're proud to have her as part of the Ridge faculty.  All of this year's recipients in Ridgewood were celebrated at a special ceremony on May 16.  Congratulations, Mrs. Schulte!

Happy Arbor Day!

Ridge School celebrated Arbor Day on April 27 by planting a pin oak tree donated by Downes Tree Service.  Three gentlemen from Downes met with representatives of every class to share information about Arbor Day, the correct way to plant trees, and information about the pin oak.  They also donated 400 spruce seedlings for students to take home and plant.  Many thanks to Downes Tree Service for their generosity!  Come visit our new tree along the back driveway near the castle!

Author Margie Palatini Visits Primary Students

Kindergarten, first, and second grade students heard a presentation from award-winning author and illustrator Margie Palatini on April 17.  She is the author of more than thirty picture books for children.  She spoke of her inspiration and the writing process and the students had plenty of questions!  Many thanks to Mrs. Best, Mrs. Bankos, and the HSA for arranging Margie's visit.
